More signs of the New Recession (See note of 8-5-15)

Last week China devalued the yuan three times and dived into the Currency Wars.  Numerous “emerging economies” are sliding downhill as well.  Terrified investors are turning to the US to park their money—for the present.  Having a “strong” dollar is not the best of positions.  A strong dollar allows us to buy more from other countries, true.  But in the US, the same strong dollar creates a drastic cut in our exports because it costs more pesos now to buy the same merchandise as it did last year.  So why would another country choose to purchase anything from the US that it can find elsewhere? 

These developments have ramped up significantly since the Jupiter/Saturn square that began in early August.  This denotes a new recession within the recession that was already in progress.  And the world is certainly stepping right into it.  The square continues through April 2016.
